BMW G20 3 Series Accessories: The Best First Mods for the 330i and M340i

The G20 3 Series is one of the easiest modern BMWs to personalise. Most of the best first upgrades bolt on or stick on, and none of them need a tune. Here is where we would start, in order of how much each one changes the car.

1. A trunk spoiler

The fastest way to make a G20 look more like an M car from behind. Our M4-style dry carbon trunk spoiler adds the raised, kicked-up lip from the M4 to the edge of the trunk lid. It mounts with 3M tape, so there is no drilling.

Fits: G20 sedan 2019+ (330i, M340i and others) and the G80 M3. It does not fit the G21 Touring.

2. Carbon mirror caps

Mirror caps sit at eye level, so people notice them first. Later M340i cars with the factory M-style mirrors can run our dry carbon replacement mirror caps. They replace the factory caps rather than sticking over them.

Check first: earlier cars with the standard rounded mirrors will not fit. Send us your VIN and we will confirm it.

3. A front lip

A lip carries the bumper line down and makes the nose look lower without lowering the car. Our gloss black front lip is a three-piece kit for 2019–2022 G20 and G21 cars with fog light cut-outs.

4. A cold air intake (M340i)

On the B58 six-cylinder, an intake is the upgrade you hear every time you accelerate. Our 4-inch B58 cold air intake replaces the factory airbox with a filter inside an insulated heat shield. On a stock tune the power change on its own is small; the payoff is the sound and cooler air for the turbo.

M340i only. It does not fit the four-cylinder 330i.

5. A turbo inlet (M340i)

The natural next step after an intake. Our aluminum B58 Gen 2 turbo inlet replaces the factory inlet pipe, the last bend before the turbo. Most owners notice a little more turbo spool, especially paired with an intake.

330i or M340i?

The exterior parts (spoiler, lip and, on cars with M-style mirrors, the mirror caps) work on both. The intake and turbo inlet are for the B58 six-cylinder in the M340i only.
