A 4-inch aluminum cold air intake for the B58 in the M340i, M440i and M240i. It replaces the factory airbox with a high-flow filter sealed inside an insulated heat shield, so the filter draws cooler air instead of engine-bay heat. Bracketry holds everything still under load, so nothing rattles when the engine torques over. Expect more intake and turbo sound than stock.
How it sounds and feels
With the factory airbox gone, you hear the turbo. Roll into the throttle and there's a deep intake whoosh as the B58 breathes in, then the turbo spooling up as boost builds — sound that the stock box was built to muffle.
At a steady cruise it stays quiet, so it isn't tiring on long drives. It changes what you hear under the hood — it does not change your exhaust note.
Power: on a stock tune, an intake by itself gives small gains. Where it pays off is cooler air feeding the turbo on hot days and back-to-back pulls, the sound every time you accelerate, and the headroom it gives you when you add a tune later.
How it looks under the hood
The black textured heat shield and aluminum pipe replace a plastic box with something that looks like it belongs on a performance car — with the Kings Mods Auto crown on the shield.

B58 3.0L six-cylinder only. It does not fit the four-cylinder 330i, 430i or 230i.

Fitting
It replaces the factory airbox using the brackets and hardware in the box. Most people who work on their own car can fit it at home with hand tools.

Unopened parts can be returned within 30 days in their original packaging. Once a part has been installed we cannot take it back, which is why the free VIN check above matters. If it arrives damaged, photograph it before you do anything else, send us the photos within 7 days, and we'll replace it or refund you in full. You ship nothing back.
