BMW M3 / M4 Carbon Fiber Vented Hood — G80 / G82 / G83 (2021–2024)

A twin-vent carbon fiber hood for the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4. It replaces the factory hood outright, and the two vents let heat out of the engine bay. From the front, nothing changes the look of the car as much.

What it changes

The look: the twin vents and the carbon weave are visible from across a parking lot. Left bare, it's an unmistakable carbon statement. Painted to match, it's a subtle factory-plus look where only the vents give it away.

Heat: the S58 makes a lot of heat, and on a hard drive or a hot day it builds up under the hood. The vents give that heat somewhere to go, so the bay cools down faster after you park or come off the track.

Why it takes about 55 days

Every hood is made to order. The carbon is laid up by hand, cured, clear-coated and then inspected before it ships. Cutting any of those steps short is what leaves you with a wavy weave, dry spots or a clear coat that yellows, and that's the kind of hood we won't sell. Allow about 55 days from order to delivery. We keep you updated along the way, and your tracking number arrives by email the moment it ships.

Specification

• Wet-laid carbon fiber, single-sided. The weave you see is on the top surface. The underside is a reinforced structural frame and isn't show-finish carbon.
• Gloss UV-resistant clear coat

Fitting

Have a body shop fit it. The factory hinges, latch and seals move over from your old hood, and the panel gaps are set by hand. Most shops take a couple of hours. Aftermarket carbon hoods often need small adjustments to line up perfectly, and that's normal, not a defect.

With vents, a little rain can reach the engine bay, just as it does on any vented hood. Don't point a pressure washer straight into the vents.

Freight delivery: please read

This hood arrives by freight truck in a large box (about 64 × 60 × 8 in, 46 lb). The carrier calls ahead to book the delivery, and someone needs to be there to receive it. Freight damage claims have strict rules, so:

1. Open and inspect the hood before the driver leaves.
2. Record a video as you open it, from the sealed box until the hood is fully unpacked.
3. If anything is damaged, write "DAMAGED" on the delivery receipt before you sign.

Then email us within 7 days with your order number, the video and a photo of the receipt. We'll replace it or refund you in full. Once a receipt is signed clean, the shipping insurance won't pay for damage found later. Full details are in our Shipping policy.

Shipping and returns

We ship within the United States only, including Alaska and Hawaii. We can't deliver freight to PO boxes.

Because every hood is built for your order, it can't be cancelled after production starts, and it can't be returned if you change your mind. Damage in transit and manufacturing defects are always covered. That's why the free VIN check above is worth five minutes.
